APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
1. Demonstrated financial need: Applicants must come from a less privileged background, as evidenced by providing a short personal statement on their background.
2. Academic & Personal excellence: Applicants must have a strong academic record and also possess d
emonstrated good character that can be readily verified.
3. Enrollment status: Applicants must be enrolled or accepted to an accredited public tertiary institution (Note: Students in private tertiary institutions are not eligible).
4. Previous beneficiaries: Individuals who have received at least two scholarships from our foundation in the past are not eligible to reapply to ensure fairness and equal opportunity.
5. Multiple Applications: Applicants may apply for both the Legacy and the Nurturing Hearts scholarships. However, if selected, the applicant can receive only one scholarship award.
Legacy Scholarship Requirements
The Legacy scholarship is the existing student scholarship which the foundation has offered since 2008. It is designed to provide financial support and assistance to brilliant indigent students pursuing a higher education degree at any public tertiary institution (i.e., universities, Polytechnics, or Colleges of Education). This is a non-renewable (one-time) scholarship.
- Must be a resident of Nigeria and a student studying (or already admitted to study) a course at a public tertiary institution in Nigeria (The West African Theological Seminary and the Life Theological Seminary, Ikorodu, are included as eligible institutions).
- Must meet ALL basic eligibility criteria as of the time of submitting an application.
- Must submit a complete scholarship application form online.
- Any student who is already enrolled and undergoing a course of study in a public tertiary institution must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 to be considered. Any first-year university student who has begun coursework but does not yet have an official GPA should provide their JAMB score.
- If selected as a potential awardee, you must provide a letter of recommendation from a cleric in your local assembly, Head of Department, Course adviser, or Dean of Students. An interview with the scholarship board is based on the discretion of the scholarship board.
- No age requirement to apply and/or qualify to receive this scholarship.
Please note that the scholarship board reserves the right to modify or waive parts of the eligibility requirements for this scholarship award based on discretion, relevant considerations, and/or as justifiably deemed fit.
