D-Prize is also open to any business model (for-profit, non-profit, and everything in between).

All winners will be awarded up to $20,000. The award is offered in the form of a convertible

grant. The average D-Prize award size is $16,000.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

  1. New organisations only. Most awardees are first-time entrepreneurs who have not yet launched or raised outside funding.
  2. Existing organisations are considered only if your core focus is on distributing an existing, evidence-based poverty intervention.
  3. D-Prize challenges are open to anyone or any team. The sole restriction is that individuals and their immediate family members on the judging panel may not participate as contestants.
  4. Proposals must be written in English. However, your English does not need to be perfect to apply, and grammar and vocabulary errors will not be penalised. We only want to understand your idea.
  5. Proposals must be submitted following the instructions in this packet. Find the packet here
  6. Extra material outside of the proposal will not be considered.
  7. Revisions to proposals after submission will also not be considered.
  8. Only one proposal per person or partnership will be considered.
