“Requires DSO approval” means your school official (Designated School Official) must approve your participation before you can join.
- Other options available.
INTERVIEW PROCESS
The interview process consists of three stages:
- Initial application and references review
- Technical assessments and interviews
- Live interview with potential mentor(s)
HOW TO APPLY
Applicants should apply online.

Fellows will work primarily with external infrastructure (e.g. open-source models, public APIs) and will not have internal system access.
You may be a good fit if you:
- Are excited to transition into full-time empirical AI safety research
- Have strong technical fundamentals: you can code well in Python, take ambiguous problems and make concrete progress, and think clearly about hard technical questions.
- Thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments and can drive projects forward under uncertainty
